How do you suppose the world will rid of Mexican drug cartels?

Will the US do something about it, by diverting their time and resources away from the lost cause in the middle east and onto the drug cartels in Mexico, or are we bound to see constant political strife in Mexico as a result of these crime syndicates? How do you suppose the world will rid of Mexican drug cartels?
The PEOPLE of the USA have the power to put them out of business tomorrow. All they have to do is stop buying illegal drugs. Simple. Which is more important to them - getting high, or preventing the deaths of thousands and thousands of innocent people???How do you suppose the world will rid of Mexican drug cartels?
I don't think Mexico has much control over what the drug industry does. The US can't do much about what goes on in Mexico. We arrested one drug king pin in the last few years, and the only result was a war to take over his territory. Deaths have exceeded 20,000 so far and it doesn't look like it's going to let up soon. I don't know how much good it would do, but decriminalizing drugs would take a lot of the profit away, and make drug selling in the US less profitable. We lost the war on drugs. Time to move on! Use the enforcement money for education, health care and addiction treatment. How do you suppose the world will rid of Mexican drug cartels?
Are you serious? Mexico is #2 most dangerous place in the world, I'm sure people are just flocking to Mexico to tell the drug lords "Um, can you please stop killing people and selling drugs?" You're funny. How about you go confront them first, and if you come back alive without any limbs missing then I'll consider it.
