Why aren't we complaining about immigrants from the North?

I constantly read complaints about immigrants coming in through Mexico (Hispanic immigrants) I don't see complaints about illegals coming in from other countries like Russia for instance. Why aren't we complaining about caucasian immigrants? Is it okay to ignore the European crime syndicates and focus on Mexican Cartles? Don't you find this as being racist?|||I think what most people don't like about the immigrants coming from Mexico is that they are trying to change things to suit them. The rest of the immigrants are smart enough not to protest. They learn English. They blend in so there is no face to put with them. I think if the immigrants from Mexico would try to blend in then they would sway opinions of them. Also if they want to make changes maybe they should try at home first.|||If being hispanic is being dirt and being European is Exotic " like someone stated in here"

If there were 12 million anonymous Russians pouring over an unprotected land border then of course there would be an outcry for the government to secure the border.





European immigrants to the US generally get the passports, greencards, and other immigration documents they need to do it legally (No -- not "all" of them...)





No one wants to deny people the ability to come here and contribute to society. It is simply unfair to the people who follow the rules that another group is getting a free pass. Let Mexican immigraton happen...legally.|||You clearly have not looked at the information on this issue, and everyone should. One person illegal enters from the north, and many thousands enter from the south at this point.





Of those who enter from the north, many are Asians who got to Canada legally, don't have criminal records, and were good citizens in China, or where ever they came from. We want those folks coming in legally also, but they are a low issue item!!





Of those who entered from the South, we are getting headlines like this day in and day out.

I would provide you with the bias cases, but the law enforcement folks do not provide polygraphs, and cannot complete investigations on almost any of the complaints. No one knows if the numbers are correct.. they were merely complaints. However, we do know the illegal aliens from mexico have a far higher rate of shooting American Citizens than any other group in the statistical pile.

Many years ago our government had programs for the Mexican people to come into the United States for the purpose of working in different areas durning the seasons. With changes in the head of government and politics those programs and the running of them were less important. The cry that the Mexicans are taking jobs away is far from the truth because if the Americans would get out and fill these jobs there wouldn't be any work for the Mexican people.There are so many wrongs taking place now with immigration, that we can only put these problems on the shoulders of our government officials to get resolved fast.. We can't take care of our own American born with their problems, yet we go to other countries to help them, allow them to come into the United States without maintaining their actions and whereabouts. Wake up America people, look at what you're buying and where it is coming from. Everyone wants to buy items from other countries that have no child labor laws, no safety standards, the people are paid substandard wages, American companies are involved still getting tax breaks, while we all sit around complaining about how much everything cost. We all need to support the farmers, manufactures that are part of our country not the foreign garbage. You get what you pay, look at what is coming in from CHINA, substandard items.


The biggest problem for me isn't how these immigrants are coming into the United States, but the fact we are making changes to accommodate everyone that has a complaint or can't read English about how things are done in America. MEXICO CITY, Mexico - For the past month, America's attention has been focused on the Middle East war. During that time, another 300,000 illegal aliens have crossed America's border with Mexico. But you won't believe how Mexico treats its illegal aliens.





Illegal aliens from Mexico were allowed to march through America's cities, demanding citizenship – some even waved the Mexican flag. But illegal aliens inside Mexico, mostly from Guatemala and Honduras, are literally on the run.





Some travel by train and some hide, trying to stay one step ahead of the Mexican Federal Police.





The Mexican government was outraged by the movement to build a new wall on America's southern border. Mexico's Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez went before the cameras to protest.





Derbez said, "Mexican immigrants are not felons or terrorists. They are human beings who deserve respect and the opportunity to live with dignity."





But in Mexico, when it comes to the treatment of its illegal aliens it's, ‘Do as I say, not as I do.’





Mexico has called U.S. immigration policy "harsh," and has called the proposed wall on the U.S. Mexico border "shameful." But some have called the Mexican immigration policy "hypocritical."





Enter Mexico illegally and you're treated as a felon. If you're caught by the Federal Police, you'll be fortunate if you're only deported immediately. The unfortunate are robbed, abused, raped, or even murdered by corrupt police officers.





Fernando Aguilar Neri coordinates Red Cross efforts to help illegal aliens in Mexico.





“When people approach us, they are usually fearful that we work with the government and are afraid of being reported,” said Neri. “…One of the seven principles of the Red Cross is complete neutrality and independence, so we can't cooperate with the Mexican government on the illegal alien issue.”





Neri says that most illegals moving through Mexico try to avoid the cities.





The Catholic Church also shields illegal aliens from the Mexican government. CBN found two shelters for illegals in Mexico City, but weren't allowed inside.





Most of the Central Americans inside are on their way to the United States. They'll be fortunate if they arrive unharmed.





One immigrant from El Salvador said, "If you are carrying any money, the police take the money and then say, get out of here."





"We still have 20 days of travel (to reach the United States)," another one said.





But if you're a Mexican wanting to enter the U.S. illegally, then you can count on the Mexican government's help and support. It even has a special department called Grupos Beta that helps Mexicans cross the U.S. border illegally.





But in an interview with CBN News, the head of Mexico's Immigration Service, Hipolito Treviño, denied it.





“Grupos Beta is the Mexican government initiative which does not help people cross the border, but they do assist them when they have problems in the border area,” Trevino said.





But Grupos Beta gives them a booklet, which includes tips on how to safely cross the U.S border. Trevino denied the allegation that immigrants are also given maps by the government.





“No maps,” he said. “We give them recommendations about the dangerous animals they'll encounter, how much water they need every day, what to do in case they get lost, what to do in case they get detained by the border patrol, which paths are dangerous because of crime.”





The reason for the government's help? The cash sent home by Mexicans in the U.S. constitutes the second biggest source of foreign currency in Mexico after the oil industry. Last year that was $20 billion, or 2 percent of Mexico's GDP.





About 10 percent of Mexico's population is now living in the United States, that’s over 10 million people. And how many illegal aliens in its own country has Mexico legalized in the past five years? Just 15,000.





The Mexican government may think a new wall on the U.S. border is offensive, but critics are saying far worse things about Mexico's immigration policy.|||Millions and millions and millions of Mexicans have entered America illegally cutting in front of those who were waiting in line legally. They come here and wave their flag while disrespecting our flag. They disrespect our language by demanding we learn theirs. They are a large percentage of our prison population. There is nothing about them to like. As soon as we are rid of each and every one of them then I agree let's go look for illegal Canadians. They might be hard to find because they don't cause any trouble though.





No it is not racist. Illegal alien is not a race. Mexican is not a race. Hispanic is not a race. There is no basis for saying that ANY action against them is racist because they are not a race.|||How many million 'Illegal immigrants' are coming into America from the north. 2 million, 5 million. I'm sure the number is tiny when compared with the southern border.


Let me say something about being racist. If I want to be a racist on a certain matter, that does not mean that I am a racist on all issues or any other unrelated matters. The term racist is being used here because people of a different race coming into America are creating a problem. It seems strange to consider it that way when there are already many millions of Hispanic race folks who are American citizens. All race aside, here's what i list as my main opposition to the immigration situation. I do not believe America should serve as the saving grace for citizens of other countries who are experiencing social and economic problems in their country. In the case of Mexico, whenever their weak political system cannot support its people efficiently, the natural reaction is for those disadvantaged to head for America and make a mockery of our current immigration laws. Much the same has happened in other scenarios such as Cuba, Haiti and their droves of immigrants to the U.S. The only thing that keeps the poor folks from the rest of the world from being here in huge numbers is they are to far away. This is called 'Protectionism' by some and I don;t mind the term at all. Don't you want to protect our American sovereignty. Isn't that what the President pledges to do when inaugurated. It's what I pledged when I joined the Air Force many years ago. We have reasonable immigration laws that have worked for many years. I'm asking immigrants and their governments to respect them.


Finally, you have made some mention of ignoring European crime syndicates and focusing on Mexican cartels. When was the last time you were affected by a European Cartel. What do you suppose we should do about this dreaded problem. I'll tell you what we should do, "Focus on Mexican Cartels".
