Should coverage of the Tour de France focus entirely on Lance Armstrong?

I have been watching the OLN coverage and I almost never see Lance. The only reason I watch the tour is to see Lance race and I think that is the only reason most Americans give a fik about this race. What is the matter with the TV syndicates? Don't they understand that no one gives a fik about a Contador or and Evans? All we want is the drama of Lance Armstrong. Am I right or am I right?Should coverage of the Tour de France focus entirely on Lance Armstrong?
When asked to name a professional racer, most Americans can only name Lance. That's OK, because it's a place to start. Lance has become to cycling like Emeril is to cooking: no longer the greatest but he did get lots of people interested. My GF started watching the Tour to follow Lance but now she's a real Andy Schleck fan.

HTH
LMAO! Is this a joke?

This year and last Lance hasnt seemed as on-form as his previous years in the Tour. Contador has certainly been much more exciting, as was Cancellara with that descent last year.

It does kind of annoy me how so many people say Armstrong is doped. He is the most tested cyclist in professional cycling - they'd find something eventually, and given how so many riders have been caught out without testing he'd have to be a genius at covering his tracks, LOL!Should coverage of the Tour de France focus entirely on Lance Armstrong?
Armstrong is a doped! and I only care about Contador. I'm not American of course but you should know the images filmed by the french are transmited for all the countries in the globe. And they feel exactly like you. For example, I'm portuguese and I don't want them only to show S茅rgio Paulinho and Rui Costa. i understand that cyclism is about all riders. the riders who I like (Contador, A.Schlek, Ivan Basso, Farrar, Hushovd, Rui Costa and Kl枚den) and the ones I don't (like doped Armstrong, Cavendish and Evans).
The Tour has many stories. To people living outside the United States, Lance may be popular, but the race is bigger than one man. Even though he is a 7 time winner, this year he is one of many contenders, and not even the favourite to win this year. From my point of view he probably gets more coverage than he deserves, and will get even more if he does better than expected.Should coverage of the Tour de France focus entirely on Lance Armstrong?
the reason you dont see lance that much is because the french are the ones who are filming the whole tour. they do show him a fair amount and he gets more attention than almost everyone, if not everyone. I mean what would they be recording about him? the last two stages are flat and all he is doing is sitting in the main field not attacking. no one needs to have a camera on him riding comfortably.

BUtt if the americans were filming it, he would have a bit more face time.
man please,if the only reason you are watching the tour de france is to see lance armstrong you need to get a life.don't get me wrong i like lance and would really like to see him win another tdf,BUT there are plenty of other riders that are damm good, and can give lance a run for his money,as for contador i could care less about him,BUT there a bunch of other guys that i would like to see win the tour,
Randy

OLN, buddy.... you are dating yourself! Versus has been telecasting the tour exclusively for five years!

No, I do not think that I want to see a 'Lance Special'. I like the race for what it is .... the best riders in the world racing across France to ultimate victory. I enjoy many riders, from many countries. Because the broadcasts are taken from French TV coverage, Versus has only limited camera shots to take advantage of.

Besides, who wants an exclusive camera only on Lance.... I really don't want to see him taking a 'rest break' for something to fill dead air time with! "Oh look, that is Lance yawning"! and my favorite, "and there is Lance doing a Farmer Blow into the wind.... now that's biking"! :-)

Soccerref
Yes and No. Be a little more open minded and learn a little.

On the other hand, Lance is the Michael Jordan of cycling. You can't be faulted for wanting to see the greatest cyclist who ever lived.

BTW, to the idiot who said Lance is a doper...Go f#ck yourself. Lance is probably the greatest endurance athlete who ever lived and if you chauvinist pigs can't tolerate the idea of an American being that good: live with it. Your sour grapes are embarrassing.
No you are not right, those who want 24/7 Lance will probably on July 26 go back into hiding or doing what ever and not keep up with the cycling world. If you want Lance, Lance, Lance go to the Vs., team Radioshack or Livestrong web sites and get your fill.

It's not about the Lance.
