Am i the only one who feels they are making too many "modern warfare" games?

I mean, about five years ago people were complaining about there being too many WWII games, now they have come out with COD 4, MW2, MW3, COD Black Ops (who's multiplayer appears almost no different than the multiplayer of a "modern warfare" game) battlefield 2, battlefield : Bad Company, battlefield : bad company 2, battlefield 3, medal of honor ( the latest one), how long do you think it will take before people get sick of the "modern warfare" era and start demanding something different? i know i have, ( im personally rooting for a battlefield 2142 era game, either a remake of a Treyarch COD : Future Warfare)Am i the only one who feels they are making too many "modern warfare" games?
actually i feel they have made to many war games period.the only thing that changes in them is the environment, the weapons are all the same except maybe a name change, other than that, how many different ways can you play war.i think all of these game company's need to come up with some thing else, and they need to go back to taking there time in making the games, like 2-3 years each just like they used to.then instead of patch after patch needing to come out for all of these games we could just put the disc in and play, not have to down load patches all the time.hope this helps.Am i the only one who feels they are making too many "modern warfare" games?
The reason there are so many of modern warfare games (and before that WW2 games) is because those are the games that sell the most. Game companies copy other well selling titles in hopes that they will also make money, and because gamers now a days do not expand their horizon enough (many refuse to play games from older systems, etc.) I agree with that the more futuristic shooters are better. Developers are able to be more creative with the game, and ones set in the future are usually much better when it comes to visual design.Am i the only one who feels they are making too many "modern warfare" games?
No, that seems about right. People will never really get sick off it since War never stays the same. New weapons, vehicles, Soldiers, Enemies, Ideals.

Think of Mario games instead, there's too many of those..... EVERYONE got sick of that. Except kids that were not around for the originals.
Am I the only one who feels they are making too many "Halo" games. Dude it's the same thing with Halo as well.
