Will there be a new COD World War II game?

Hi everyone!

Is there going to be a new FPS game that takes place in during WWII because I'm kind of getting sick of these modern war games. There have already been a ton of them that have been released recently (Bad Co. 2, Modern Warfare, MW2, MW3, Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor, etc...). Black Ops wasn't very fun because the Cold War wasn't a very "action packed" time and It was hard to mix the Vietnam War into the plot. If they wanted action and an interesting plot, they should have just left it at the Vietnam War. The WWII games that were made earlier were great. Now all game companies want to do is make modern war games and they don't stray far from the common plot (Americans fighting the Russians because the Russians were helping a militia in some other country). It gets old after a while. With the new technology and innovations in game design, wouldn't you think game companies would be interesting in recreating/improving on old concepts? Does anyone know about a possible new WWII game in the future? If not, do you have any recommendations for older ones?Will there be a new COD World War II game?
Let's deal with some facts regarding WWII video games. Instead of all the opinions and BS you hear.

1. New FPS internet base game coming out with some impressive plans. It's called Heroes %26amp; Generals. It will have the options to play as infantry or tank command and also as a pilot flying aircraft.

2. Relic the makers of Company of Heroes which was a very successful RTS game. There was also expansion games. They are currently working on Company Of Heroes-2

3. There is also Iron Front another FPS

4. Call of Duty - yes contrary to no more WWII comments, they are not ruling out returning to another World War II FPS.

There are some things you are forgetting. First, before all modern warfare games, there was a TON a ww2 games, too many to count. Thats why cod 4 was so revolutionary. Second, the vietnam war WAS part of the cold war. U can't have a cold war game without vietnam. I don't think they should make another ww2 game. cod alone has made 5 of them. i would recommend world at war. pretty good.Will there be a new COD World War II game?
i doubt there would be a WWII game in the near future because what you said all their making is modern warfare games so i would predict a year or two before companies start making WWII games

It would be nice to see some FPS companies either return to doing WWII games or revamp the old games and make it look better (same story and all.) But I do not think it could stay popular very long. It seems WWII games have come and gone. The futuristic games are covered in Halo games. The WWII and Cold War games are done. Now they focus on the present or slightly near future. It seems to be what a majority of people are interested in.
